Akustische Masken auf dem Theater. Text – Sprache – Performanz

The volume "Akustische Masken auf dem Theater. Text – Sprache – Performanz" was recently published in the series "Impulse - Villa Vigoni im Gespräch" by Franz Steiner Verlag. The publication arose from the conference of the same name, which took place from 13 to 17 June 2016 at Villa Vigoni. The editors Donatella Mazza, Laura Strack and Heinz Georg Held have collected contributions from Fabrizio Fiaschini, Ulrike Hass, Michaela Reinhardt, Stefano Locatelli, Donatella Orecchia, Anne Betten, Inge Arteel, Sabine Heymann, Monika Woitas, Judith Schäfer, Sven Lindholm, Edoardo Erba, Angela Malfitano, Elena Di Gioia and Elfriede Jelinek.

From a comparative German-Italian perspective, the authors examine the status and function of language in contemporary and historical performative art practices. In addition to linguistic and philological aspects, the work reflects on current forms of stage productions and practical theatre, as well as discussing new avenues of research.
