“Vigoni-Döblin-Fellowship” for the "Alfred Döblin-Medaille" literary prize-winner Julia Weber

The "Alfred Döblin-Medaille" literary prize from the Mainz Academy of Sciences and Literature also comprises the "Vigoni-Döblin-Fellowship": a four-week (maximum) stay for writers at Villa Vigoni, to be devoted to intensive writing, potentially accompanied by literary recitals.

The 2018 "Alfred Döblin-Medaille" prize went to the young writer Julia Weber. Born in Tanzania in 1983, Julia Weber studied creative writing in Switzerland. She is co-founder of the artistic action group "Literatur ist das, was passiert" ("Literature is what happens"). She is the author of the novel Immer ist alles schön (Limmat Verlag, Zurich), which made a particular impression upon the jury, as well as a number of short stories and two plays: Lebenswert AG and Der Zwischenraum.

Julia Weber will spend the "Vigoni-Döblin-Fellowship" at Villa Vigoni in Loveno di Menaggio from 13/03 to 27/03/2019.
