ABSTRACT

The first workshop aims at discussing the current stage of research concerning the history of film schools during the 20th century and to elucidate which schools and institutions hold and grant access to written and audiovisual sources. It also addresses methodological questions such as how to research formation processes of professional networks, transnational circulations, or how to analyze student films adequately within the framework of the whole project.
