At the meeting in Rome, the results of a research project co-initiated by Villa Vigoni will be presented and discussed. In the archives of Italian public and private TV stations, a team of researchers has compiled audiovisual material that provides an insight into the scientific and popular mediation of history by Italian television. A digital documentation records the results. It is intended as a practical "tool" for scholars and teachers, a didactic instrument for schools and for a non-expert audience.
