TRR359 PILOT is a new transregional Collaborative Research Center investigating “Perinatal Development of Immune Cell Topology” which has been funded by the German Research Foundation since January 2023. PILOT brings together researchers from across Germany to explore the mechanisms determining perinatal differentiation of immune cells and their cellular environment. In particular, we investigate how preprogrammed developmental traits and perinatal cues integrate to steer immune cell differentiation, establishment of immune homeostasis and immunity to infection. The Retreat 2023 will enable PILOT project leaders to engage in intensive discussions about project developments, latest results and existing and planned collaborations between members.
