The Workshop on German-Italian exchanges in the humanities and social sciences "The German-Italian scientific dialogue in Europe: current situation, results and desirable prospects" will take place frm 2 to 3 July 2019. It has been made possible thanks to the support of the DFG - Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.
The meeting is dedicated to ongoing transformations in the humanities and arts and in the social sciences in Italy and Germany, looking at themwithin a European context. This explains the desire to investigate the current situation as regards German-Italian scientific relations and their position in Europe, in the consideration of the new political and social challenges that our continent is facing today.
The objective is to question the "bilaterality" and "European integration" pairing, identifying strategies for advancing the Italian-German exchange in the humanities and social sciences, with a particular focus on the role of young talents.
