On 12th December 2019 Villa Vigoni and the Brexit Institute will host an event in Dublin on ‘Brexit and the New EU Institutional Cycle’.
The event is organized with the support of the European Parliament information office to Ireland — will feature a keynote speech of Dr. Hans–Gert Pöttering (former President of the European Parliament), as well as a panel with Amb. Michele Valensise, Italian President of Villa Vigoni, Dr. Veronica Corcodel (DCU), James Temple Smithson (Head of the European Parliament Information Office in Ireland) and Prof. Joachim Fischer (University of Limerick), chaired by Gráinne Ní Aodha (The Journal).
The joint event kicks-off the partnership of the two institutions: The DCU Brexit Instiute and Villa Vigoni will undertake a multi-annual research project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) on the future of the EU institutional order in comparative perspective.
