The issue no. 10/2020 of Vigoni Papers is online

In Vigoni Paper no. 10/2020 "How to put culture at work for a more resilient economy and society? Policy insights from German and Italian creative cities", Valentina Alberti, Valentina Montalto and Francesco Panella (Policy Researchers at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission) explore the concept of "Creative Cities".

The authors observe the commonalities in the recent history of Italy and Germany, how they visibly affect a variety of culturally vibrant cities. How can Italian and German cities build on their shared cultural characteristics to foster both intercultural dialogue and creative economies? What has been the impact of the current pandemic on tourism and the creative economy in both countries? This paper explores these and other questions using data from the Cultural and Creative Cities Monitor.
