N. 5/2022 La sicurezza europea, il futuro dell’Ucraina e la “questione russa”
On the 24th of February 2022, Putin's decision to invade Ukraine marked a turning point in contemporary European history. In addition to the tragic consequences for Kyiv, the start of the conflict provoked a diverse global response: the clear distancing from the Kremlin's actions by Euro-American countries was not adopted by many of the non-NATO political actors. Starting with a reconstruction of Russia's political and military structure, Kühnhardt's essay analyses the Russian-Ukrainian conflict from different perspectives, not limiting itself to the casus belli, but attempting to outline the future scenarios that may arise from this dramatic conflict at the gates of the EU.
