The Vigoni Concert is the highlight of the year at Villa Vigoni. In 2019 it will include a special outdoor performance of Giuseppe Verdi's opera La Traviata. The show will take place on Saturday 6 July at 7.00 pm in the fascinating setting of Villa Garovaglio Ricci.
The "Compagnia Nuova", an ensemble composed of six young international musicians, will stage La Traviata in the innovative format of a chamber opera. After the first ever performance, which took place in Germany in 2018, the production celebrates its premiere in Italy at Villa Vigoni. The outdoor staging developed especially for Villa Vigoni transforms the architectural façade of the historical Villa Garovaglio Ricci into an active backdrop, allowing for immediate engagement between the performers and the public.
