
Caterina Sala graduated in Literary Studies and German Philology at Pavia University. Her master thesis was dedicated to the relation between theoretical and practical elements of image description in the works of Johann Joachim Winckelmann.
She started working as a Research Fellow at Villa Vigoni, German-Italian Centre for the European Dialogue, in 2005. Currently, she works on the Italian reception of the Kinder- und Hausmärchen by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, with particular regards to the translations produced in the 20th century and observing the ethnographic and anthropological aspects as well as the literary issues.
