Curriculum Vitae

Caterina Sala studierte Literaturwissenschaft und Germanistik an der Universität Pavia. In ihrer Abschlußarbeit analysierte sie die Beziehung zwischen Praxis und Theorie der Bildbeschreibung im Werk Johann Joachim Winckelmanns.

Seit 2005 ist sie als Wissenschaftliche Referentin im Deutsch-Italienischen Zentrum für den Europäischen Dialog, Villa Vigoni, tätig. Derzeit beschäftigt sie sich mit der italienischen Rezeption der Kinder- und Hausmärchen von Jacob und Wilhelm Grimm. Dabei nimmt sie insbesondere die im 20. Jahrhundert entstandenen Übersetzungen in den Blick, wobei sie sowohl volkskundliche als auch literaturwissenschaftliche Aspekte berücksichtigt.
