Interview with the painter Tanja Nittka

In May 2019 the Berlin-based painter, Tanja Nittka, spent some time, thanks to the Else-Heiliger Fund of the Konrad Adenauer foundation, in the Villa Vigoni and its park. From the impressions, inspirations, sketches and fotos that she brought back to her atelier came to light the series "Nunc stans", which represents the interior views of the Villa and of its park (some paintings are available in the PDF below).

One year after her stay, Tanja Nittka and Christiane Liermann Traniello, Secretary General of Villa Vigoni, discussed about the creative process of the paintings, the pros and cons of the being an artist in the time of coronavirus and the hard to grasp concept of culture.

The contributions of the Villa Vigoni homepage, especially the contributions of the sections "European Dialogues", "Vigoni Papers", "Spotlight" as well as the social media of the Villa Vigoni, are usually written in German or in Italian or in English and are not translated.
