Curriculum Vitae

Helge Dresen has been working in the Villa Vigoni team since summer 2022. Previously, he worked for 5 years at the UN Refugee Agency, the national partner of the UNHCR. For his project work, he was recognized as a winner of the UNHCR Bright Spark Innovation Challenge.

Dresen studied political science in Bonn and Stockholm. At the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University, he received the award for best graduate student of the Institute of Political Science and Sociology of the corresponding academic year for his academic achievements in Bonn and also submitted the best thesis. His research interests are primarily in the field of European and European integration studies. He is currently preparing his doctorate.

Dresen, who has been active in refugee work on the ground in Greece in the past, volunteers for a Greek and internationally active non-governmental organization that promotes the integration of refugees and advocates for fair, social and sustainable integration into the Greek labour market through social business projects.
