The Right-of-Centre alliance clearly won the parliamentary elections in Italy with almost 44 per cent of the vote. Among them, the right-wing nationalist party "Fratelli d'Italia" became the strongest political force with 26 per cent. As Italy's first female Prime Minister, "Fratelli d'Italia" party leader Giorgia Meloni heads what is probably the most right-wing government in the country's history. In order to inquire how to structure a dialogue with a party like Fratelli d'Italia - among other topics on the future of the European Union - this conference aims to clarify fundamental questions about the self-image of conservative parties within the European People’s Party and to exchange views on feasible pathways for the European Centre-Right.
