ABSTRACT

Digitization has paved the way to flexible work locations worldwide. Coworking spaces, pioneers of new working spaces, host freelancers and small firms. The recent Covid-19 pandemic crisis and the growth of remote working have speeded-up  this trend, offering new opportunities for the peripheral areas to regain people, places, and perspectives. To what extent will European peripheries profit from this process?
