ABSTRACT

Many legal systems provide specific rules for social, socially responsible or sustainable entrepreneurship, especially with regard to disclosure, certification, corporate governance or even asset locks. However, there are different criteria for which companies such rules apply. The European legal systems and especially Italy, France and Germany take very different approaches here and regulate partly sector-specifically, but also partly more comprehensively. We will compare these different approaches and analyse the potential for future harmonisation in Europe.
