The subject of linguistic minorities has long been taboo in scientific discussion in Italy and the Balkans, despite the geopolitical situation demanding dialogue between the opposite shores of the Adriatic. This project aims to support the study of “threatened” languages and stimulate the creation of an Italian and German research network. Twenty experts have therefore agreed to discuss their research results and work alongside young scholars to draw up tangible objectives for the study of linguistic minorities at risk of extinction.
