This masterclass with a final concert at Villa Vigoni (Saturday, 27th April 2019 - at 6.00 pm), led by Weber, offers eight young students an opportunity for intense engagement with the most important piano masterpieces of the last four Centuries.
The "Young Classic Europe" Festival has taken place annually since 1998, with concerts featuring a variety of classical music and other genres. As well as renowned lecturers (including Igor Oistrach, Zakhar Bron, Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Heinrich Schiff, Eliot Fisk, Peter Sadlo, Natalia Gutman, Raina Kabaivanska, Cheryl Studer, Pierre Amoyal), some of its participants have also gone on to make a name for themselves (Julia Fischer, Alice Sara Ott, Olga Scheps, Sebastian Manz, Alexej Gorlatch, Heyoon Park, Armida Quartet, and more). Since 2011, the festival concerts have been performed in Salzburg and on Lake Como, as well as in Passau.
