Germany and Italy are facing a comparable demographic challenge: the proportion of older people will increase significantly in the coming years. Older people have a special life situation that can be significantly improved through algorithm-based personalised services (PS). In this expert discussion, we aim to facilitate an interdisciplinary and intercultural discussion of the criteria for the development and use of PS for older people, strengthening the understanding of expectations, benefits and systemic dangers of the application of PS in the two cultures.
