The Mediterraneo has always been a melting pot of different cultures, languages and traditions. This historically grown diversity is also reflected in the music of Mediterranean countries, as one can see in the varied musical traditions of southern Italy, where even the language itself claims its own, unfamiliar sound-space. In search of the origins of their own traditional music, the Domo Emigrantes discover different musical roots and sounds of the Mediterranean region.

Here they play “Cesarina”, a traditional love-song from the Salento-region in Apulia, Italy.

Domo Emigrantes performed at Villa Vigoni in July 2018 for the annual Vigoni Concert.
