Through the lens of French photographer Gérard Levy, we are invited into the euphoria felt by eastern Berliners and western Berliners, after the fall of the Berlin wall, on November 9th 1989. The purpose of this exhibition is to immerse the visitor into a defining moment of world history and invite him to analyse, universally, the meaning we attribute to borders, migration and freedom of movement.
The 14 pictures of this exhibition are being given a historical context by Francesca Zilio, scientific advisor at Villa Vigoni.
IL MURO has been imagined by Paola Eckermann and Federica Chinese.
