In the post-global era, many nations are seeking to redefine their sovereignty and to assert more decisively their economic, technological, and geopolitical interests. The international arena is increasingly shaped by multipolarity, where domestic political decisions are closely intertwined with global dynamics. National priorities such as social cohesion, economic stability, and technological independence are exerting a growing influence on the conduct of foreign policy.
Within this evolving framework, Villa Vigoni is organizing the Autumn School in European Studies, entitled “Multilateralism in the Post-Global World. Nations, Politics and International Relations”, in cooperation with the Treccani Institute and Fudan University of Shanghai. This interdisciplinary seminar offers a space for dialogue and critical reflection among experts, professors, and students from German, Italian, and international universities. The programme will focus on key questions concerning the future of multilateralism and international relations in a world undergoing profound and rapid transformation.
