The conference focuses on some moments of the long-lasting relationship of reciprocal interrelation between Italian and French literature and culture from the Middle Ages to the Twentieth century.
The individual chronologically structured contributions help to outline a representative picture of the different dynamics of encounter, competition, or even opposition, between both cultural traditions.
Suggestions of new methodological perspectives on the subject will be the expected outcome from the observation of exemplary cases of contact between these two linguistically and geographically contiguous cultures.
