The annual Symposium on Glycosaminoglycans, that will celebrate its 30th edition in 2023, gathers eminent scientists from all over the world to discuss both current and emerging topics in the field of biochemistry, biology, chemistry, pharmacology and medicine. Glycosaminoglycans are complex molecules of fundamental importance in the regulation of cellular communication, involved in the modulation of a large amount of biochemical processes. The subjects of interest cover biosynthesis, biological functions as well as pharmaceutical and clinical aspects. Anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor activities such as prevention and therapy of thrombotic and thromboembolic diseases are just some of the topics that are discussed.
