The conference will discuss Europe's current situation on the basis of its historical experience, 100 years after the First World War.
The conference will be opened by Enrico Letta, the former Italian Prime Minister, now director of PSIA (Paris School for International Affairs). His opening lecture will be followed by eminent keynote speakers such as the former Austrian Vice-Chancellor Erhard Busek, the philosopher Bernhard Waldenfels, and the historian Harald Heppner, as well as contributions by other 19 historians, philosophers, social scientists, jurists, literary historians, and politicians from 13 European countries and the U. S., who will deliberate upon the question of where Europe stands today considering its historical and future development.
