Villa Mylius Vigoni is surrounded by an extensive park, which was designed in the style of an ‘English garden’ in the second half of the 18th century. This garden was created by Giuseppe Balzaretti, who also landscaped the city park in Milan called the ‘Parco Sempione’. The park at Villa Mylius Vigoni is an interplay of nature and landscaping that creates rare beauty and a unique atmosphere by using centuries-old trees, vantage points, colours and scents.
Marble statues, fountains, inscriptions and small memorials can be found along the pathways.
The centrepiece of the park is a small, neoclassical temple built in memory of Mylius’s son Julius.
