Villa Vigoni is delighted to announce the election of Ambassador Luigi Mattiolo as the new Italian President of Villa Vigoni. Starting in January 2025 he will be taking the place of his successor, Ambassador Michele Valensise, who from 2017 until today presided over the “German-Italian Centre for European Dialogue”, which corresponds to two whole mandates with an additional extension of the term of office.
Our cordial congratulations go to the new President, and we wish him every success in his new post. With his wide experience and his focus on future responsibilities not only regarding the German-Italian relationship, Ambassador Mattiolo will do everything in his power to deliver the mission of Villa Vigoni.
We sincerely thank Ambassador Valensise for his invaluable contribution to the productive work of Villa Vigoni. We hope to continue working together with him on enhancing German-Italian Dialogue and deepening cooperations at the European level.
