Five days of discussion and exchange: an International group of young scholars in the fileds of law, humanities and social sciences selected by Villa Vigoni and the Gerda Henkel Foundation will attend the second edition of the Gerda Henkel Academy, which will take place at Villa Vigoni from the 18th to the 22nd of June.

This year’s topic is “Europe and the world: between colonialism and globalisation”. The Academy gives participants the opportunity to present their own dissertation projects as a starting point to discuss the role of colonialism and globalisation in contemporary Europe.

The round tables will be led by Italian and German university professors: Prof. Dr. Corinna Unger (European University Institue, Florence), Prof. Dr. Hans Joachim Gehrke (University of Freiburg), Prof. Dr. Johannes Paulmann (Leibniz Institute of European History, Mainz).
