IMPACT
How do you deal with an unprecedented crisis - a global pandemic that affects the world in ways never before imagined? What are the crisis management mechanisms? Which actors and institutions have played and continue to play a crucial role within the various social dimensions? At the international level, at the European level and at the national level within different societies? These and other questions are addressed by the IMPACT project, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
The aim of the project is to shed light on the consequences of the pandemic, as well as its subsequent crises, from political, economic and social perspectives. Publications, workshops and conferences in the context of German-Italian relations should enable a better understanding of the topics mentioned. At the same time, these academic contributions promote the formation of networks of German-Italian decision-makers, which are not limited to the metropolitan areas of Rome and Berlin, but also include institutions, companies and cultural organisations from central and southern Italy, with a particular focus on the younger generation.
The project is innovative in the field of German-Italian collaboration and represents a unique and new feature of Villa Vigoni. It serves to dovetail the analysis of the two societies and the development of strategies and projects that explore which tangible factors and intangible assets may be identified as resilience enhancers and therefore can be included in a future German-Italian policy agenda.
