During his studies, Maximilian gained valuable journalistic experience in the Rhein-Main editorial department of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, for which he initially worked as an intern and later as a freelance contributor, writing numerous articles.

His one-year study stay in Florence ignited a great passion for the Italian language, history, and politics. In 2023, he found his way to Villa Vigoni, where he initially completed an internship in conference management. He then took over the leadership of the project German-Italian Young Voices for the 2024 European elections. At the same time, he worked as a German teacher for the Goethe Institutes in Turin, Milan, and Rome, as well as a lecturer at the University of Turin. Since 2025, he is a permanent employee at Villa Vigoni. Its interests and responsibilities are primarily focused on the political present and future of a united Europe.
