Curriculum Vitae

Manuele Veggi has been working in the Villa Vigoni team as external collaborator at the Research and Projects Department since 2020. Since 2025 he has been responsible for the publishing house “Villa Vigoni Editore | Verlag”.
He is interested in methodologies for the enhancement of cultural heritage through digital tools, such as interactive systems for museum contexts, digital art history methodologies and semantic web technologies (particularly ontologies and linked open data).
Since November 2023 he has been a PhD Candidate at the doctoral programme in “Heritage Science” (Università La Sapienza; CNR – Istituto di Scienze del Patrimonio Culturale, Prof. Pescarin). In 2025 he was awarded the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship for a research period as visiting PhD student at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne – Laboratory for Experimental Museology (EPFL – eM+, Prof. Kenderdine).
He graduated in Modern Italian Literature at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice in 2021 and completed the MA “Digital Humanities and Digital Knowledge” at the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna in 2023. He was a student at the honors colleges of both universities and attended courses with professors from Harvard University, Boston College and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität.
