Since mid-2022, a group of young people from Germany and Italy, with diverse personal, professional, and academic backgrounds, has been discussing the major challenges facing young generations in Europe. The participants have focused on issues of active citizenship and have worked together to develop ideas for the future of Europe. The key outcome is the Young Manifesto #NextGeneration, which presents concrete proposals and demands in the areas of sustainability/climate crisis, education/participation, and digitalisation/reducing bureaucracy. The project was launched as part of the European Year of Youth 2022, emphasising the need for young voices to be heard more than ever. The manifesto will therefore be presented to a broader audience, including policymakers, academics, businesses, and civil society.
