What is the hidden and unknown power of creativity? Which role can design play in a world that seems to be shaken by increasing uncertainty, insecurity and unpredictability? How can design contribute to new models of sustainable progress? And might design even function as a beacon for a new mindset leading the way to a different future?
These are only some of the questions that will be discussed at the round-table “(Un)known Power of Design” within the German Pavilion at Triennale 2022 – Unknown Unknowns: An Introduction to Mysteries in Milan. The German Pavilion at the 23rd Triennale Milano International Exhibition is initiated and curated by Red Forest on behalf of the Goethe-Institut Milan and supported by the Federal Foreign Office. Media partners: Radio Raheem Milan and reboot.fm Berlin. Pavilion design by David Muñoz-Alcántara; production by Andrea Angeli Architetto. Graphic design by UAU Studio. The initiative was realized by Villa Vigoni, the German-Italian Center for European Dialogue, as part of the IMPACT project funded by the BMBF and in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut Milan, filename.one, the Triennale Milano, as well as through a media partnership with nomad magazine.
Our innovative panel discussion will offer a platform for key players of the world of institutions, universities, politics, industries, and associations to enable an engaging dialogue in the field of cultural and creative industries between Italy and Germany in the EU contest and with a focus on next generations.
