This conference will allow the participants to address the challenges of digitalisation facing minority language media outlets in Germany and Italy, as well as their kin minorities in neighbouring states. The input of experts from these linguistic areas is to be juxtaposed with that of the prominent scholars from wider European perspectives. This comparative dialogue on shared challenges and best practices should result in a policy paper outlining the best way forward for minority language media outlets considering the digital shift or deepening of their existing digital practices.
