The COVID pandemic causes much damage. But it also offers opportunities for a better future, provided lessons are learned for the efficient management of future health crises, for enhanced global cooperation and solidarity, and for rapid adaptation to the “new normal,” which entails new macroeconomic challenges and the need for effective policies to combat climate change and support technological transformation.
Therefore, in 2021 the Euroseminar discussed the best ways to invest in a greener, fairer, and growth-promoting recovery, which is also necessary to mitigate the employment crisis resulting from the pandemic.
