Throughout European literary history, dramaturgical texts have rarely been written for disabled actors, and theatrical theories and institutions have often reinforced ableism. This conference brings together experts in disability studies to examine representations of the disabled body on stage and in dramaturgical texts from 1900 to the present. Scholars from Germany, Italy, and across Europe will contribute to this discussion, aiming to foster greater inclusion in the field of theatre.
