The Focus of the Year 2018 is dedicated to the European Year of Cultural Heritage
Villa Vigoni, German-Italian Centre for European Excellence, is promoting the scientific and cultural dialogue between Italy and Germany, extended to Europe as a whole. From this standpoint, a series of initiatives dedicated specifically to cultural heritage represent the key theme underlying its programme for 2018.
By sharing the general objectives of the European Year of Cultural Heritage, Villa Vigoni aims to make its own contribution to promoting cultural heritage as an essential component of diversity and the dialogue between cultures, as well as a key element in relationships between countries within the EU and between the EU and other countries.
The events that will be taking place throughout our year-long programme have been developed by Villa Vigoni in keeping with the specific objectives set out in EU Decision 2017/864.
