Applications open for the workshop “Decoding right-wing populism – co-creation of a European multimedia feature”

Germany, France, Hungary, Austria, Italy and Poland all have a complex phenomenon in common in their current political and social situations, especially in the light of the forthcoming EU elections in May 2019.  This phenomenon is (right-wing) populism.

It is very important for young Europeans to speak their minds when discussing this issue. We have to observe the factors that contribute to making right-wing populist parties stronger and pinpoint exactly what individuals can do to help combat this phenomenon.

We are offering the chance to do exactly that in a highly creative, journalistic manner: two workshops (21-25 March and 10-12 May 2019) held in Berlin, which will seek to create a multimedia feature from a variety of cross-border perspectives, encompassing interviews, short portraits, photo shoots, videos and much more.

Villa Vigoni, together with its partners from the abovementioned countries, would like to offer five candidates aged between 18 and 26 years old the chance to participate in the two workshops. The event costs €49 in total and participants will be reimbursed for their travel costs.

Application deadline: 21 January 2019.
